Petrolina reported that its first-half net profit surged more than threefold to €9.94 million in 2026, marking a dramatic turnaround from the modest €3 million figure recorded in the same period of 2025. The company's performance reflects the successful integration of eWise Cyprus, formerly known as ExxonMobil Cyprus, which was acquired on January 30 and has since become a wholly owned subsidiary within the group. This acquisition significantly expanded the portfolio of the Esso brand operation across Cyprus and delivered immediate financial benefits.
Turnover climbed 56 percent to reach €415.5 million during the six-month period ending June 30, driven primarily by the inclusion of eWise in the consolidated results. The higher international petroleum product prices further supported revenue growth throughout the timeframe. Beyond the new acquisition, the strengthened contribution from associated aviation refuelling operations at Larnaca and Paphos airports added to the improved profitability picture.
Petrolina described eWise as a fully integrated entity now serving as an authorised supplier of Esso-branded fuels through a nationwide network of service stations. The deal represents a major expansion of the group's position in the Cypriot fuel market and aligns with the company's broader growth strategy announced at its annual general meeting in June. Board members approved the reviewed interim consolidated financial statements on September 28, confirming the acquisition as a cornerstone of future economic development for the organization.
